Episode 24: Endangered

October 17th, 2008 / No Comments » / by admin

At the camp, Jarakay was still haunted by their loss.

Marlon told the tribe that he could not believe how they lost their stamina so fast and, if it was up to him, he could still go on with the challenge.

Jace insisted that he and John did the best they could even if they had to take on the weight of the whole team. He added that Marlon would not know how it feels since he wasn’t the one in front of the line.

Surprisingly, Vern agreed that Marlon was determined to go on with the Immunity Challenge since he was overtaking her in the line.

Meanwhile, at the Naak camp, Kaye was haunted by the ghost she had seen that night: a man wearing a white coat and khaki pants. She said she saw it for five seconds before it suddenly disappeared.

With heavy rain and strong winds battering their camp, Kiko and JC decided to stay up the whole night to guard the fire.

Bad, rainy, itchy day

The next morning, Marlon asked Charisse who she was going to vote out at the Tribal Council. With the Jarakay girls’ alliance down to two and the muscle alliance seemingly weakening, Marlon said he was not sure who was going to be voted out.

The Tribal Council was still a few hours away but the there were two other things the tribe needed to contend with: the storm and insects.

They were tired and shivering that Charisse could only blurt out, “I hate the rain.”

Episode 23: Revenge of the Tribes

October 16th, 2008 / No Comments » / by admin

After their bitter loss in the last reward challenge, Jarakay was bent on winning the Immunity Challenge.

On the other hand, Naak was determined to win immunity to prevent another heartbreaking Tribal Council.

Paolo explained that the tribes were up for the “Hot Pursuit Challenge”.

Each team would be composed of six members, each carrying 10 pound weights. They would be tied to each other to form a line and each group would stand at opposite starting points in the circular course.

The object of the game: the first person in one team’s line should tag the last person in the other team’s tail. The person who was tagged would then transfer the weights he is carrying to another tribe member and he will be imprisoned in the cage at the middle of the course. The first team who tags all the members of the opposing team wins the game.

Jarakay’s line consisted of Jace, John, Vern, Marlon, Charisse and Nikki while Naak’s line consisted of Rob, JC, Kiko, Cris, Nanay Zita and Kaye.

Episode 22: Naak’s Feast, Jarakay’s Famine

October 15th, 2008 / No Comments » / by admin

Paolo announced that the Naak Tribe had 30 minutes to enjoy their reward under a very uncomfortable condition: Jarakay had to stand by Naak’s side and watch them eat their meal.

Rob said, “Guys sorry.”

Paolo told naak that they can neither talk nor share their meal with the other tribe.

Jarakay was envious of Naak’s mouthwatering reward and watched longingly as Naak devoured every morsel of meat.

Marlon said, “Ang brutal naman.”

Later he asked, “Masarap, tol?”
“Bawal pag-usapan,” Rob answered.

Most of the Naak Tribe members ate quietly except for Rob who could not help but make side comments.

Rob said, “First time ko, first time.”

Kiko, who had previously patched things up with Jarakay, did not like this.

“Kain lang nang kain, Rob. Tama na ang usap,” Kiko said.

“I deserve the prize, I gave my all. My tribe deserves the prize pero yun nga sabi ko sa tribe, deserve natin yung prize pero wala tayong karapatan para magmalaki. Kasi ang nangyari parang habang kumakain ang dami pang side comments, lalo na coming from Rob.Parang sobrang casual niya and everything parang walang mga tao sa paligid namin na nagugutom,” Kiko explained in his interview.
